Join the Exporter Culture
The “Join the Exporter Culture” campaign was launched by ADOEXPO in January 2017 to foment exports as a means towards generating greater social and economic development in the country.
There are many solid reliable examples of the concrete benefits for exporters. On a macro-economic level, the exportation of goods and services is positive for the balance of trade, current account and payments for any country. It is a source of demand for the domestic production of goods and multiplies the domestic product and income of the economy in general and especially the economic participating agents.
There are diverse reasons at the micro level to explain why exports are always positive:
- Diversification of the risks of unstable internal markets, mitigation of macro-economic problems.
- Promotion of economies of scale and a higher level of production as ways to take better advantage of existing installations and reducing unit costs.
- Greater profitability by appreciation of the economies and income levels of target countries.
- Increased shelf life of products, improvements in programming production.
ADOEXPO is convinced that exports are an excellent way of meeting the objectives established in the National Development Strategy. Countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Chile are success stories of countries which have attained prosperity and social development via exports.
The lines of action of the “Join the Exporter Culture” campaign are to forge strategic alliances with State institutions to continue promoting and fomenting an exporter culture, generating a space for public-private dialogue for raising awareness and sensibility to the benefits of exports and to drive the internationalization of companies with export potential.
ADOEXPO, through “Join the Exporter Culture” bets on innovation as a transversal axis for the transformation of the competitiveness of Dominican products and services, with an eye towards continuing to position the Dominican Republic as a leader of exports.
